Fujiyama in Olympia, Absolutly EXCELLENT
So I went to Fujiyama in Olympia (I may have spelled that wrong?) and it was the best food I have had in a LONG time. For those of you who have not been there, you should defiantly go. It is a spendy dinner but well worth it.
When you first arrive, they set you down at a table circled around a grill. There are 8 chairs around each grill so unless you have a party of 8, you will be dinning with other people. (Which is a little weird at first but it’s fine.)
So after everyone is seated, the waiter comes around, takes your order, and goes back into the kitchen. A few minutes later the chef comes out with all the ingredience needed to make everybodys dinner.
He goes in front of the grill, turns it on, and introduces himself. The first thing he starts to cook is the appetizer. I’m not sure if every meal comes with this, but everyone at my table got everything he cooked. The appetizer was asparagus and shrip. We all watched as he twilled around chopping, flipping, and even making the food move and do tricks. Not only was the food good, but also entertaining!!
After the appetizers, it was time for the rice. If you get white rice, it is brought out by the waiter and not cooked on the stove in front of you, but if you choose to get the other choice in rice (can’t recal its name) the cook will cook it for you. First he starts out with the egg, tossing it around and cracking it with the karate chop of his spatcula. (How he avoided getting shells in the food is beyond me) Next he added the rice and some sause. Before he handed out the rice he scooped it all up, shapped it into a heart, placed the spacula under the heart to make it look like the heart was beating. Then he tossed the rice onto everyones plate.
Next was the main course. I got steak and chicken, and mostly everyone around me got chicken of some sort. The steak was excellent. The chicken, a little dry for my taste but it was still really good.
The meal ended with grilled veggies and if you were still hungry after that they offered dessert..
The waiters were extremly fast, filling soda without you even noticing.
SO OVERALL I GIVE FUJIYAMA 5 out of 5 Stars
